Life Update

Hey there, welcome to the blog!

I redid my site a while ago and archived my entire blog, and I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to start posting again. I’m not sure if blogging is going to be a regular thing, I do think I want it to be supplemental to my YouTube channel, but there’s a lot of stuff going on with my channel too.

If you don’t know, I left my job at my after school program. I loved the people I worked with and I loved my kids, but it was way too much stress for very little payoff. I came home exhausted and unmotivated to do anything, and I think this has a lot to do with why things have been pretty slow with YouTube and streaming and writing.

I now work as a nanny to a sweet little 2 month old baby and I absolutely love it. I work 3 days a week right now but i move up to 4 days in March. The benefit of nannying is I end up having a decent amount of time to get my own work done, and I’m working on taking that time and really using it to my advantage.

Just last week, I registered for my first college class since starting my gap year (which I guess means the gap is over?) and I’m really excited for it. Actually, right before posting, I bought my textbook for the class and finished up sending my transcript and everything in.

I am in an Art and Design Associate in Art program and my school has dual admission with 14 local colleges, but I will most likely transfer to Savannah College of Art and Design at the end of my Associate. It’s been a lot of planning ahead. I’ve already started to figure out what classes I might be able to take this summer and next fall, and I’ve been trying to start searching for jobs that might fit in with that mold.

I also have made some changes to Nerdy Artists. I have decided to cut gaming from my YouTube channel for the time being. I want to focus more on my art and journaling and hopefully vlogging, so my uploads will be more focused around that than gaming. Streaming on Twitch is still definitely going to be a part of Nerdy Artists, gaming just isn’t going to be something I’m going to include on my YouTube channel.

I want to blog and write a lot more too. Like I said, I’m not sure it’ll be a regular weekly thing or if it will be more spontaneous, but I had the idea to have my blog supplement any of my videos that might need some more clarification or extra information. I also am planning on continuing to write the stories I used to write as well and I’m hoping to start some new ones to share in the future.

The last thing that I want to change is the shop. I love making stickers and I have so many new things I want to make for journaling and upcoming holidays, but I want to make other stuff too. I want to make one of a kind stuff and journaling cards and sell my art as well, and I really miss having that. I want to be more creative every single day and learn from creating and build my portfolio up.

I’m going to Vermont next weekend for a 5 day weekend actually lol and I’m very excited to work with my Aunt who works in design. I’ll be back to YouTube next week and hopefully Twitch depending on how my class is going. I’ll be sure to update more often :)

Have a great week!
