Mini-Series Virtue 3: Strength
Today I want to talk about one of the last virtues that has played a huge role in my life. The last of the virtues under this series is about Strength.
We all know the word, strength can be interpreted in many ways. For example, strength is used to describe how much we can lift or the amount of endurance it takes to eat an extremely hot pepper. Though strength is much deeper than mere physicality. I see strength as something within, a power that one possesses to push on through the hardships of life, and the vigor one has as they strive towards their dreams. For me it has taken A LOT of energy to find the energy within to continually push forward and to tread the waters of life as each wave pushes back on me. And that is where I learned that strength alone will not get me through life, because at some point we all fall. It is inevitable; it is not the amount of times we fall that matters, but the way we get back up that truly counts. And that is why like many things in life we must keep a balance within ourselves and understand that strength is not only our own strength, but also the strength of others.
All three of the virtues I have been speaking upon, are ones that yes are perfectly fine on their own. But when they are blended together, they create an understanding and outlook on life that has helped to open my eyes to a much brighter and successful future. I hope that after reading this it has gotten you to begin thinking of some of your virtues. Maybe it’s made you question the way you’ve been handling the forceful waves of life. Let me know what you think and share some of your virtues& experiences with me.
